Fitzgerald's Sense of Humor There's not a lot that's funny about the Chief of Staff to the Vice President being indicted on five felony counts, but there is a subtle joke in the press release announcing the indictments.

In the first line, the office of Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald dispenses with I. Lewis Libby's official title and introduces him as a "Senior White House Official." Close readers of Robert Novak will recall that that is exactly the way he described his source when reporting that Joe Wilson's wiFe worked for the CIA -- the original "bad act" in this investigation.
